This direction has been a research topic at LIAMA since its inception as the GreenLab project was the very first collaborative project funded when LIAMA started. At that time, the subject was restricted to plant modeling and growth. This is now considered an important success story of LIAMA. There are two more projects by now in this domain, addressing subjects related to computational medicine and modeling of turbulences, for example atmospheric evolution.
The projects are named as follows:
CCM: Center for Computational Medicine;
cPlant: Computational Plants;
CARIOCA(formerly named TIPE): Climate and land Cover Interactions with Complex Data.
